PRE-PRODUCTION (STAGE 1)

GETTING STARTED 

Since i have experience on conducting a short film which was a psychological horror film, it made me have a huge advantage on how to get started with the process of creating a short film. Therefor, i knew what my weaknesses and my strengths are.

Although, despite having all the experiences I still had a very hard time deciding what genre I was following through. On the spec points, I was given four titles (The zoo, The secret, Cat with ten lives and the graveyard) At first, I chose "The Secret," thinking it would be simple because I was going for a thriller genre, but I later changed my mind after realising that I wanted to go out and read other genres as well.

THE GRAVEYARD 

therefor i chose to create a Drama genre short film idea. I first created a powerpoint and came up with a synopsis, log-line and character descriptions.
